The starting point for this brochure website design was the Nail Lounge logo: from this we chose the colours for the website.
We also picked up on the floral swirl which forms part of the logo background and incorporated this into the background for the design.
The emphasis on the home page is on the different areas for beauty treatments which the Nail Lounge offers since they provide treatments for hands, feet, face and body. The pictorial secondary navigation and the large fade-image show instantly display the types of treatments which are available.
Throughout the website visitors are encouraged to sign up to the Nail Lounge newsletter and the email information they supply is sent directly to the client’s email campaign system which stores the mailing list.
The company’s previous website had been created using Adobe Flash and whilst it looked stylish, it did not rank highly in the search engines. This design is built using html and is search-engine friendly and well optimised for the Nail Lounge products and a local search. We have made use of javascript and Adobe Flash elements to create movement and interest in areas which are not significant for search engines.
