Facebook is the biggest social network worldwide with around 2.41 billion monthly active users by the second quarter of 2019. In order utilise Facebook successfully for your business, there are a few things that you should do.
1. Make it reflect your brand.
Visitors need to recognise your Facebook profile as yours as soon as they land on it. Make sure you keep your branding consistent – if a visitor has seen your website or has your business card, they should recognise all these as belonging to the same company. This helps people to recognise and remember you and what you do, and it shows you are professionals. Make sure you use a high-quality, branded image in the right size for the Facebook header and likewise your logo for the profile picture.

2. Ensure Your Profile is Complete.
Add as much detail as possible to your profile. This will make it easier for visitors to find you and get in touch.
Be certain to include your email address, website address, telephone number, the type of business you run and your opening hours.
3. Create a call to action button.
You can add a “call to action” button to the top of your Facebook page. Choose from Shop now, Contact us or Call Now .
4. Create a list of services.
You can now add a list of services to your profile which means you can give greater detail about the services your company offers. You will find the navigation for services on the left-hand side if you are logged in on a desktop PC.
5. Post to Facebook regularly.
There is little point in setting up a Facebook page for your business if you do not post regularly. Ideally you should do so once a day if you can. A Facebook page that has not been updated in some time, will not be likely to be followed and it doesn’t reflect well on your business.
6. Always upload an image with your posts.
Facebook is a very visual media, so you should always add a good quality image to your post. It will help you to stand out from the crowd and catch the attention of users.
7. Show your personality.
Social media also requires personal interaction. Show the human face of your business, but keep it professional and avoid your politics! You do not want to offend anyone.
8. Link back to your website regularly.
When you add content to your website, post a link on Facebook to drive visitors through to your site. You can provide visitors who follow through to your site far more information on your website than on Facebook
9. Test the best times to post for your business type.
It is generally held that the best times to post on Facebook are between 1-4pm , but you should test to see when your posts get the best engagement as it depends on your business and your target audience.
10. Scheduling your posts will save time and ensure regularity.
Setting aside time to create a week’s worth of posts at a time and schedule them, will ensure that you maximise the use of your time and make sure that you won’t forget or run out of time to post.
